Gyeongnam Social Value Finance, Inc., a social finance intermediary in Gyeongnam, supports social economy enterprises in Gyeongnam by providing loans. Gyeongnam Social Value Finance contributes to securing the sustainability of social value-creating businesses by providing necessary funds to social economy enterprises in Gyeongsangnam-do, and strengthens its role as a local wholesale social finance fund to support the regionalization of the social economy.

To foster the only regional social finance intermediary in Gyeongnam, SVS provided funds at 0% interest rate. However, in order to strengthen the intermediary’s accountability, SVS requires to match Gyeongnam Social Value Finance’s own funds and to reserave a portion of the incomes from loan program in a separate account to mitigate its risks of loss.

As of the end of December 2023, the loan fund provided to a total of 6 social economy enterprises in Gyeongnam (8 cases) and contributing to improving access to finance.
