SVS contributes to the revitalization of the local entrepreneurship ecosystem and creates a sustainable investment ecosystem by providing funds to increase local social enterprises’ access to social finance in non-capital areas. The Gangwon Picnic Investment Fund, which is jointly managed by Sopoong Ventures and Gangwon Creative Economy Innovation Center, is a fund that focuses on social ventures to solve social problems in the Gangwon region and investments in the Gangwon Techno Park industry.

Since its establishment, the fund has invested in 63.5% of unlisted, start-up, and venture companies in Gangwon-do, and 88.2% of early-stage start-ups and companies in the regulatory free zones within three years.

The fund has invested in 15 companies, which are creating local impact in business sectors such as local economic revitalization, eco-friendly agri-food, hydrogen and hazardous gas safety systems based on catalytic technology, and IT technology convergence hydrogen refueling station packages.
