Filling a gap in the impact finance market and contributing to the local social economy, SVS invested in
early-stage social economy enterprises to contribute to building the local social economy ecosystem.
ExtraMile Impact Fund (2nd.) is managed by Merry Year Social Company, Inc.(MYSC), an accelerator and an investment manager that specializes in accelerators and investments in early-stage social economy enterprises.
Aiming to create both financial returns and social impact, investors including Korea Venture Investment Corporation, Wadiz Platform, etc. participated in this fund, and 13 startups and social economy companies in Korea are invested.
The fund focuses on job creation, education, healthcare, sustainable consumption, manufacturing, energy, and climate change, and contribute to the growth of local social economy enterprises and revitalization of the ecosystem by providing specialized funds to early-stage social economy enterprises (within 3 years of establishment) and organically linking consulting, resource linkage, and impact investment combined with the expertise of managers.
The fund targets early-stage (pre-Series A) social ventures and social economy enterprises (60% or more), and drive investment from a gender perspective by mandating investment in women-owned businesses. SVS also indirectly support the development of specialized social impact accelerators to create an investment ecosystem where social economy enterprises can discover, nurture, and grow.
