“Asia accounts for 60% of global production. Whether Asia will grow is no longer a question. The issue is how it will grow.”
The Korea Social Value Solidarity Fund participated in the AVPN Global Conference 2025 (9–11 September, Hong Kong), Asia’s largest conference discussing venture philanthropy and impact investing. Reflecting the event’s expanded scale, this conference showcased Asia’s burgeoning impact finance ecosystem. There was keen interest in increased government and private sector participation and investment from Japan and China, while the growth of impact markets in Southeast Asia and India also drew significant attention.
Discussions covered diverse topics: strategies for channelling new capital into the impact sector, demonstrating investment outcomes and evidence, and how mixed finance structures can enable diverse fund providers across public, financial, corporate, and philanthropic sectors to drive tangible and efficient change. We anticipate renewed global interest in Korea moving forward.
