On 19 August, the final research conference on the Jeonse (down payment for housing) Fraud Policy Research Citizen Fellowship Program took place in Seminar Room 1 of the National Assembly Members’ Office Building. At this presentation, citizen researchers unveiled policy proposals for addressing the structural causes of jeonse fraud victimisation, based on their own analysis and research conducted over the past several months.

The Korea Social Value Solidarity Foundation supports the research funding and provides interest-free matching loans for operational funds to ensure the stable operation of the Tantan Housing Cooperative. It addresses jeonse fraud problems arising from institutional blind spots through a social economy approach, thereby supporting victim’s recovery.
