The construction cost of supportive housing (Dadarem House), which simultaneously solves the housing problems of youth and adults with developmental disabilities, was supplied through the crowdfunding platform BPlus, a social finance intermediary in September, 2022.
In order to popularize supportive housing for social integration of the disabled, which is still unfamiliar in Korean society, SVS provided in-kind rewards for each investors according to the amount of their investment.
SVS made an upfront investment of KRW 50 million in crowdfunding to attract investors’ participation. And in the end, it contributed to the supply of 53 units of social housing that helps adults with developmental disabilities to achieve independence in their life and enables them to live with people without disabilities.
