In 2023, Jeonju City raised 900 million won from the budget of the Social Economy Fund and selected a joint consortium of Jeonbuk Social Economy Solidarity Association and Social Cooperative Woori Together as the implementing organization.
SVS contributed to the creation of a local social economy public-private partnership fund by matching KRW 100 million of the implementing organization’s self-contribution of KRW 180 million.
From 2024, the fund will start lending to social economy enterprises in Jeonju. The ‘Jeonju Social Economy Fund’ is expected to not only improve the management of social economy enterprises, but also promote the creation and growth of local public-private partnership funds and enhance access to finance.
