To contribute to building a local social economy ecosystem by discovering and investing in promising social enterprises, SVS Foundation participated in the 6th ExtraMile Impact Fund, a fund dedicated to social enterprises managed by Merry Year Social Company(MYSC), an accelerator and impact investment firm.

The fund was established in November 2023 with KRW 9 billion, and in December, Goyang City’s additional investment made the fund total KRW 10 billion.

The fund is expected to contribute to the sustainability and ecosystem diversity of growth-type and technology-based social enterprises nationwide through full-scale investment in 2024, and to revitalize local social economy ecosystems by mandatorily investing 30% of the total investment commitment in regions other than Seoul, Incheon, and Gyeonggi-do.

The ‘ExtraMile Impact 6th Investment Fund’ will secure diversity in investment industries through a mixed deal-sourcing strategy of social value-creating and technology-based companies, early-stage and growth-stage companies, and address the tendency of investments to be concentrated in the manufacturing sector.
